Cold plates
Cold Plates are high-performance heat sinks that use forced liquid circulation to dissipate heat from high-power electronic or industrial components.
Thanks to etching technique, any channeled pattern can be designed to cool devices with uneven thermal load release, precisely reaching hot sposts and removing heat through a fully sealed device. Very large size allowed by MCD unique etching process.
High-performance single or two-phase fluid-cooling.
Low-noise. Compact. Engineered to your specifications.
Microchannel Devices single or two-phase fluid-cooled are high-performance heat sinks that use forced liquid circulation to dissipate heat from high-power electronic or industrial components.
Unlike air-cooling systems, they operate in complete silence — no fans, no airflow — delivering consistent thermal precision even under high load conditions.
Years of collective experience
Our strenghts
Fully integrated process
Chemical etching, diffusion bonding, post processing and testing take place in a single production facility, with direct control over every critical parameter: geometrical, diffusion bonding process, performance, cleanliness.
Full process control with no dependency on external treatment enables our zero defect policy.
Custom design and manufacturing
We engineer with you, not just for you.
Every device is bespoke. Our engineers work alongside your team to develop the most efficient solution —including architectures an integrated process makes possible: multistream PCHE, hybrid PCHE, cold plates. And because the full chain is ours, we move at a speed others cannot match.
Fast & flexible
High performance
We etch plates larger in width and length than any competitor — up to 850 × 3000 mm — and build PCHE cores engineered for extreme conditions: pressures above 900 bar, temperatures from −200 °C to +900 °C, hydrostatic testing up to 2000 bar, including lethal service in Oil & Gas.
Diffusion bonding turns the stacked plates into a single monolithic block with the strength of the parent material: no brazing, no gaskets, no external welds. Maximum performance in minimum space — up to 85% smaller and lighter than traditional heat exchangers, with ~98% thermal efficiency.

Custom single or two-phase fluid-cooled: materials, geometry and performance
µCD cold plates are manufactured using diffusion bonding technology — the same process used for PCHE and microchanneled cores — which metallurgically fuses the plates into a single monolithic block without internal mechanical joints.
The result is a hermetically sealed component, pressure-tested before delivery.
High thermal efficiency in compact designs
Silent operation — no fans, no airflow
Precision cooling
Very wide footprint with thickness down to 1 mm
Leak-proof and pressure-tested for operational safety
Available materials: stainless steel, aluminium alloys, copper
Applications
µCD cold plates applications
for demanding industries.
µCD does not work from a catalogue. Every cold plate is engineered from the specific requirements of the application: internal channel geometry, material, thickness, footprint and connection layout are defined together with the client.
It is the same co-engineering approach µCD applies to PCHE and microchanneled cores: from design to finished product, with a fully in-house process.
Clients who have already worked with µCD on a PCHE will find the same method: no standard components, no catalogue — a component developed around the client’s specific thermal process.
Data centres and power electronics
High-density servers, inverters and power converters require continuous and precise thermal management. single or two-phase fluid-cooled cold plates deliver high thermal efficiency in compact footprints, removing dependency on air ventilation systems.
Aerospace — thermal control
Semiconductors
Transportation — trains and vehicles
In rail and traction applications, single or two-phase fluid-cooling manages the thermal dissipation of power components silently and without moving parts.
UPS and backup systems
In power continuity systems, single or two-phase fluid-cooling reduces cabinet footprint while maintaining safe operating temperatures for electronic components.
